The Feast of San Giovanni, patron of Turin, is an anniversary that provides for a large collective participation of citizens and tourists who want to celebrate the event by participating in the festivities in the square. In 2017, the festival took place in a traditional way, with fireworks on the Po river, involving the areas facing the river, the "murazzi", with particular reference to Piazza Vittorio and the neighboring streets.The GAe Strategy The celebration of the Patron of Turin was the first event held in Turin after the nefarious accident in Piazza San Carlo. The directives of the so-called Gabrielli Circular, issued shortly after the accident, were therefore applied for the first time. A series of measures have been taken to ensure the safe and smooth running of the event. GAe has prepared a security plan that foresees the presence of people in Piazza Vittorio and in Corso Cairoli, whose entry and exit transit is monitored through an App, installed on smartphones and tablets supplied to the staff in charge of supervising the gates of access to the controlled area, where you can move freely, once you have passed the security checks. Services For the event, the following were prepared: Safety Plan including the technical-illustrative report for the authorities; Emergency Management and Evacuation Plan; Attendance at Supervisory Commission meetings (CCV, CPV); Removal signage; Management of safety operations during the event; Counting management via App; Training of audience management staff; Assumption of the role of Emergency Coordinator.
