Storico Carnevale di Ivrea
Lo Sorico Carnevale di Ivrea è il più antico carnevale d’Italia, dal medioevo è stato tramandato fino ai giorni nostri. L’evento si è svolto, quest’anno, tra il 6 gennaio ed il 26 Febbraio e tutte le giornate sono state caratterizzate da approcci ingegneristici di diversa complessità: le giornate dal 6 Gennaio al 16 Febbraio presentano una presenza di pubblico limitato, non superiore alle 1500 persone, quindi sono state considerate di basso rischio; le altre giornate, dove affluenza di pubblico è invece elevata, l’approccio è stato più serrato e sono state seguite le norme della Circolare del Ministero del 18.07.2018.
Per la gestione di questo evento la Città di Ivrea è stata suddivisa in quattro macroaree, Centro Storico, Borghetto, Corteo Storico e Rondolino, e sono state eseguite analisi di vulnerabilità e verifiche d’esodo tramite simulazione, a garantire l’efficacia del progetto Safety&Security. È stato previsto che l’area Centro Storico potesse contenere un numero massimo di 15.000 persone e l’area Borghetto 4.800.
I varchi d’accesso sono stati tali da favorire un senso unico di tipo pedonale con le persone contate in ingresso ed uscita. Grazie ad un server centrale è stato possibile capire il numero di persone presenti dentro l’area, anche grazie all'ausilio di telecamere a servizio della polizia e della control room del Safety Manager, Ingegnere Giuseppe Amaro, riuscendo a valutare, in tempo reale, il numero di persone in ogni area e quindi garantire la massima sicurezza.

Carnival of Ivrea is the oldest Carnival of Italy, which from the Middle Ages has been handed down to our days. This event takes place between 6th January and 26th February and all days are characterized by engineering approaches of different complexity. The days from 6th January to 16th February have a limited presence of public, no more than 1500 people, therefore considered low risk.
The approach changes during the other days where there is high public turnout, and the rules of the Ministry Circular of 18/07/2018 are followed. The management of this event carried out a vulnerability analys and exodus checks through a simulation, ensuring the efficiency of the project.
City of Ivrea has been divided into 4 macro areas: Historical Center Area, Borghetto Area, Historical Parade Area and Rondolino Area.
The Historical Center Area can contain a maximum number of 15000 people and Borghetto Area a maximum number of 4800. The Gates will be one way access, and will be pedestrian gates, people will be counted in and out with a central server the Event management will be able to understand the number of people into the area thanks to the camers that will send images to the police and the control room of the Safety manager (Giuseppe Amaro) managing to evaluate in real time the number of people in each area and ensure better security.

L’evento MIRACOLA di Piazza San Carlo è una manifestazione di carattere temporaneo, di tipo sociale ed aggregativo a partecipazione libera.
L’evento coinvolge l’intera piazza, inclusi i portici, escluse le vie che su di essa si affacciano.
Tutte le luci della piazza si spengono seguendo uno schema preordinato e si riaccendono nello stesso modo.
Per l’edizione 2019 l’evento si caratterizza come «Lampo di buio» all’insegna del sociale e la presenza contemporanea di un pubblico quantitativamente non maggiore di quanto si possa immaginare in una qualunque giornata affollata, tra residenti e turisti.
La Strategia GAe
GAe si occupata di progettare dei sistemi che garantissero l’incolumità e la sicurezza del pubblico, applicando strategie appositamente studiate per l’occasione.
È stata definita una planimetria per evidenziare le vie di allontanamento che si configurano come vie pubbliche della città.

The MIRACOLA event in Piazza San Carlo is a temporary, social and aggregative event with free participation. The event involves the entire square, including the arcades, excluding the streets that overlook it. All the lights in the square go out following a pre-arranged pattern and come back on in the same way. For the 2019 edition, the event is characterized as "Flash of darkness" in the name of social and the contemporary presence of an audience quantitatively no greater than you can imagine on any crowded day, between residents and tourists. The GAe strategy GAe took care of designing systems that guaranteed the safety and security of the public, applying strategies specially designed for the occasion. A floor plan has been defined to highlight the exit routes that are configured as public streets of the city. Services For the event, the following were prepared: Safety Plan including the technical-illustrative report for the authorities; Emergency Management and Evacuation Plan; Study of safety information for the public, to manage the emergency case.
